Standing Firm

My theme lately has been revolving around one central thought: standing firm in an age in which truth is being, or perhaps has been, thrown to the ground (1).

For the Enemy of our souls, where in the world did truth most need to be thrown down to the ground? It wasn’t in the far east, where atheism or many competing philosophies deny the self which we intuitively know exists and endures. It wasn’t in the Hindu world where you can have one god, a million gods or no gods and it doesn’t really matter if you fail-you can come back thousands of times until you get it right. It wasn’t in Africa where tribal violence and animism was common. It wasn’t in the Middle-East where a certain prophet came along six hundred years after Christ and denied that God can have a son, and so started his conquest.

Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, by Viktor Vasnetsov.

It was in the West, where our society and culture and beliefs were once loosely governed by Judeo-Christian standards, and from where the Christian gospel has been dispatched, that truth had to be attacked. Western nations haven’t always behaved remotely as they should have had they taken notice of the plain truths of Scripture: you shall not kill; you shall not steal or bear false witness (4). But as one scholar recently pointed out very publicly in a Cambridge lecture (5) it was a Christian world which delivered sanity and respect for women in India, abolishing the practice of Suttee (6) in which women died on the funeral pire of their husbands, and other degrading treatments of women. It was Christian souls who ended the evil practice of slavery which had been carried on by those who were anything but Christian in their worldview and in their greed.

Women can become men? Men can have babies? How has the West fallen so far into insanity and depravity? It’s done so because, while claiming to base its thinking solely on reason, it’s abandoned the one source of Truth and reason which made it strong. Once truth is abandoned, there remains only a battle for preferred falsehood.

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (2).

Democracy is all but dead, except in one or two European countries where there remains hope for the world. If you doubt that, you are now a part of the problem: you have been duped by the media and by college professors while thinking they were giving you facts. Our governments are increasingly remote, and driven by demagoguery, and the philosophies and proclivities of the ultra-rich and the ultra-twisted. Centralization is almost our worst enemy, making our politicians, and our elections almost entirely out of touch of we the people who work to make them and their families wealthy.

Now we have the government of what was almost the last free nation in the world arresting dissenters and villifying them. The man who wanted us to put America first has been framed repeatedly by its own government, while the big media corporations have abandoned real news for propaganda, being squarely behind the corruption.

The aliens have landed…we just haven’t met them yet. Increasing reports, even from some of those who have been up to now opposing the collapse of truth, say that there is official evidence that aliens and alien craft have been encountered and documented. Again, I will say, we just haven’t met them yet. They are “over there” somewhere. It’s like the story of evolution. Almost everyone believes it’s true, but how many have seen evolution in action for themselves? I haven’t, and you haven’t either: you just think you have.

Go to your local museum, or to the largest museum you can find on the planet. Ask to see a series of fossils or bones (not a reconstruction) of a cow or a goat gradually turning into a whale. After billions of years of creatures supposedly evolving there is none-just a very, very thin patchwork of loosely similar structures. Bacteria mutating or adapting remains bacteria: it never turns into anything else, no matter how many thousands of generations are poked and fiddled with. You have been lied to, and you were never encouraged to look at the so-called evidence objectively.

In the human ability to create we have descended from Shakespeare and Bach and Mozart and DaVinci and Christopher Wren and the Bible to, dare I say it…yes, to trash and ugliness.

In short, we have been short changed. All the incredible things that could be shaping our literature, architecture, the arts and our entertainment world-like those tens of millions of babies who have been denied life for the sake of convenience-have never come to realization.

In the Church millions have been robbed and have robbed themselves of wisdom by thinking that God is in their feelings: If you feel fuzzy and fall over and babble, God is at work and you are full of His Spirit, they say. As in all walks of life, the understanding of the presence of God has fallen to its lowest. False teachers, false prophets and false apostles are attracting masses of believers who have abandoned the Word for nonsense.

The freedom we have left in the world is thin and illusory, and very fragile, and they-the enemies of Judeo-Christian thought-are coming for that at an increasing pace. It’s only a matter of time before there is open persecution. Even now those world wide spider-web algorithms have the power to spy on my words and frame me as a dissenter and a trouble-maker. The technology for the mark of the beast in Revelation exists, as does the will to create it.

How should the professing Christian live? The answer is that we should live in faith and trust. All that we see happening to our world was foretold. If you didn’t know that, it’s time to get into the Word of God. Like it or not, it will all get worse before it gets better.

We should live in worship. Remember that, as Jesus said, the greatest commandment we have been given is to love our Creator, with all our being, and with all our strength. Jesus desires our passion for Him, and that’s the way we can and do and will ultimately win for all eternity.

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist…”

Paul laid out the need for us to wear spiritual armor (3). With this armor we will see the lie if or when that alien appears on our news reports. We will know that no matter how many people tell us a man can have babies, it is not in any sense true. We will see that the so-called evidence that our ancestors were lemur-like creatures is patent nonsense. We will be aware that the idea that our planet is about to be destroyed because we are keeping warm or eating a piece of meat is nothing but hype to conform us to some sick person’s ideology.

With that armor we will see the beautiful truth of God’s word, despite the incessant attacks on its veracity, and we will know that since the past is in accordance with the will of our Creator, so will be the future.
