MY MUSIC, 2025!

SHERBET IMAGE

Press Pic 2

Sherbet Image is essentially a duo which occasionally employs other musicians. We produce original contemporary jazz/ jazz fusion, with progressive rock and pop influences. We also have a large repertoire of jazz standards which are our launch pads for improvisation. We’ve released two albums: “Sketches”, and more recently, “Escalante”, and more recently a single release titled, “Smash and Grab”. These can be found on your favourite streaming sites. Alternatively follow one of the links below.

Nathan James Fisher recently earned an MM specializing in jazz studies at UNT, where he was a member of the widely acclaimed “Lab Band One”. He’s been inspired by jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Freddie Hubbard, John Coltrane and Wynton Marsalis. Nathan is now making a gigging home in the northwestern United States.
Nick Fisher(bass) is a seasoned musician with pro and semi-pro experience in many styles. His biggest influences from the world of jazz have been Stanley Clarke, Ron Carter, Eddie Gomez and Jaco Pastorius, and from the world of progressive rock, Ray Schulman of Gentle Giant and Yes’s Chris Squire. Nick has created his own experimental electronica which you can find under his name on Spotify.
As a working duo, along with the occasional contribution of other talented musicians, Nick and Nathan have an ever-developing thirst for fresh and new ideas through improvisation and musical expression. Their jazz and jazz-fusion style aims to evoke and explore: to learn from the lofty examples of jazz giants, but also to strike out and create something new.

NICK FISHER

Nick has produced a solo album of all-original electronica, which you can hear or download on many streaming sites. It’s titled “Hand-Prints of Forgotten Souls”. Here’s a link, which should take you to the music:

CILIUM

Try two samples of some electronic music I recorded a few years ago under the name “Cilium”. They’re from an Ep CD called “Cave”.  The EP is currently only available through me, but might be added to streaming services later this year. Turn up the bass and click on the links (no advertising or strings attached)

CRAZY ASTRONAUT DANCE

My last link is to a piece of techno/trance music I created several years ago, called “Crazy Astronaut Dance”-some time, in fact, before someone decided to call themselves “Crazy Astronaut”. It’s set to a rather amateur video I made at the time. I hope you like it.

  1. Nick, I got a haircut the other day by this friendly blonde girl, got talking about music, told her I play guitar/bass, and that I write a lot of original instrumental music, mostly of the funk/smooth jazz variety. She told me to check your website, and that you’d be a cool guy to jam with. I too am a follower of Christ, and play guitar/bass at a church here in Moses Lake. Anyhow, a friend of mine is a good drummer, and all we need is a bassist, in the hope of playing coffeshop type gigs in the near future. Call me if you’d be interested….(509) 387-6499.
