Accusations have been thrown around for the past several years with the intention of frightening the West away from conservatism and into a progressive liberal way of thinking. What about it: Are all those on the political right inherently racist? Is Christianity white? Is it wrong to stop anyone who wants to come over our borders? Are borders ethical or are they hateful? Are white people evil? Are nations a relic of imperial domination, or are they simply a line of protection for citizens within?
GOD CREATED THE SO-CALLED “RACES”
According to Judeo-Christian Scripture, God created mankind and put them in the Garden, and there’s no hint in those early pages of Genesis or anywhere else in the Bible that Adam and his wife were of any particular colour or race whatsoever. In fact if you read on just a few chapters, you find that it was God who actually created what we wrongly call “races” by dividing the nations, with no indication that any of them were of more or less value than others. God, not white bigots, created different races. You can read the other end of Biblical Scripture and find that God intends to include all those different “races” in the entrance to his eternal kingdom. There’s no racism with the Christian God: all are equal in HIs sight. Only mankind’s wickedness and hardness of heart sets people groups against each other:
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28).
Neither did God institute slavery in the West. That was done by people intent on making money at any cost, who may or may not have professed faith of some sort, and who acted at the expense of not only black people but white people. In Britain vast numbers of white men, women and children had to live in workhouses, apart from their own families and working all their waking hours. White people deemed to be criminals were sent away from their land and their homes for life by the British government to work camps in Australia.
It was white politicians in the West who opposed slavery and brought its end, first in Britain under the leadership of a white Christian man named Wilberforce, and then in America by the blood of thousands of white men in the civil war. The stain of slavery is not the fault of the Christian God or His true followers, but the dark heart of greedy men obsessed with wealth and gain. It’s not even the fault of white people en masse, since many of them were only pawns and trying to live out their own lives. In any case, neither I nor my ancestors willingly took part in slavery – they were also victims of the ruling classes.
THE DIVISION OF NATIONS
At Babel the nations, or we could call them “tribes” or “families”, began separate journeys throughout the world due to the confusion of language. God never has wanted a human one-world empire because organised, centralized humanity tends to oppose Him.
Their genetic makeups and their destinations had considerable bearing on developing appearance. Darker skinned people fared much better in the more sunny parts of the world where UV rays are far more threatening to light-skinned people. This natural favoritism filtered some of humanity’s genetic makeup. It’s not evolution in the sense we think of where small changes lead to differing species, it’s a loss or an employment of information or of genetic diversity and adaptation which God built into the genome to ensure survival. Because of my genetic ancestry my skin is fair: I wish I had been given genes coding for more tolerance to the sun. However, underneath the surface we are all from the same stock: we are all human.
JESUS WAS NOT WHITE
In the middle-east where the ancestors and descendants of Abraham settled, the majority were and are middle brown or even dark in hue. Jesus himself would have been somewhere in the middle, or perhaps darker, and certainly not white. Adding to their given genetic makeup was the fact that Jesus and his immediate followers were exposed to almost year-round sun wandering around the countryside and working outside. Here’s the point as creationist Ken Ham likes to point out: there is only one race, and that’s the human race. Even if you follow the philosophy known as evolutionism (I don’t) you can’t help but conclude that all of humanity comes from the same stock. “Race” is a human construct which we should perhaps more correctly label as “ethnicity”.
CHRISTIANITY IS NOT WHITE
So God himself divided the nations and thereby initiated ethnicity, and a middle-brown God-man known as Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament, died for the sins of all mankind. You can hardly accuse genuine Christianity of being biased in favour of “white” skin or being in any way racist. Some of Christ’s immediate followers made their way into the north and the western world, but some went elsewhere. Thomas, according to tradition and some hard evidence, took the message of the gospel to India. Others went south into north Africa, all in the first century. The Church thrived there in the region where, as we are told in Acts chapter 8 an Ethiopian eunuch relayed the message of the gospel given to him by the apostle Philip.
You can find the Christian faith in all parts of the world, and those in Africa or India or South America would have a problem with you labelling their faith a “white man’s” religion. So who’s the racist now? If you really love the idea of diversity, you should work to preserve it. Attempting to blend ethnicities and to force them to mingle is homogenization. Additionally, the white race is itself a facet of diversity: opposing whiteness is racism.
WHERE RACISM COMES FROM
How then did Christianity come to be associated with racism? The answers are probably numerous – one being that some people calling themselves followers of Christ have indeed been warped in their understanding of God’s love – some out of hatred and some out of simple ignorance. The Judge of all men knows who they are and were. Borrowing the name of Jesus doesn’t guarantee entrance to the eternal kingdom of God, and note this: the record of Scripture makes plain that it’s not those who profess faith who are children of God, but those who also live it out:
āNot everyone who says to Me, āLord, Lord,ā shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
The will of Jesus is that we show love and mercy even to our enemies – he made that plain in his teachings. Therefore, anyone white or black or in the middle who professes faith but is in fact a hater of other “races” is in for a shock when that great Day comes.
A POLITICAL WEAPON
The level of such hatred is, I’m convinced, far lower than some in our time are trying to convince us all that it is. Rather, the hatred pours from the hearts of white progressives and is thrown like manure at those of their own colour. It seems to me that the vast number of accusers of whites are not black but white. How can this be? Where is the logic in this? The answer is political. The extreme left – political children of haters such as Marx – will use whatever weapons they have to hand to bring down not only their opponents but the whole Western world, which they hate with a passion. They will intentionally use lies to win votes and gain followers. Into the mix social issues are thrown, so that anyone wishing to be immoral in Biblical terms will tend to align with the political left. Transgenderism is an extreme expression of this.
EVOLUTION IS RACIST
Darwin and his teaching of godless evolution facilitated the belief that black men were racially and genetically inferior.
WHERE RACISM ULTIMATELY COMES FROM
Where does such hatred ultimately come from? It comes not from Christ but from his enemy. Jesus called him the father of lies. He said that Satan comes only to rob, kill and destroy. Ultimately the one attempting to divide humanity against itself is hidden from our sight, while his hatred and dark philosophies work through hateful men and women to destroy the pinnacle of God’s creation: mankind.
WITCHCRAFT
Racism certainly does exist in some of the dark corners of Western nations – we’ve probably all encountered or witnessed it at some time in our lives. However, the current attempts to label all those who are not progressive liberals as “racists” is nothing short of a lie from the pit of hell. Calling someone a racist because they are more “right-wing” in their political and social views is not unlike the medieval insistence that someone with a wart on their nose or a black cat must be a witch. The one accused of witchcraft was executed without fair trial or question, and certainly without good reason.
CHARLIE KIRK
What happened to Charlie Kirk last week was the summary execution of an accused witch without trial. It was an intentional rejection of the right to free speech and argument. It was cold-blooded murder at the hands of a hateful philosophy, and willful ignorance. The motivation was related to trans-gender extremism, but also to an accusation of racism. Charlie, along with millions of others including the seventy or eighty million who voted Trump, have been found guilty of racism or witchcraft, by a rabid philosophy which wants to remake the world in its image, ultimately so that the one behind it all can be worshipped as God.
Those without a good argument yet having plenty of arrogance always resort to name-calling and then violence. This is a history-long phenomenon, and one of its loudest examples was Karl Marx, who called for the forceable overthrow of the existing order, including the Church and the traditional family (see my post on Marx, link below).
MY OWN VIEWS
Bringing all this down to a personal level, I shamefully admit that I loosely followed leftist ideology in my youth, partly because I didn’t think it through logically, but more significantly because I was kept from knowing the other side of things. Even under Thatcher (who, I confess, I didn’t like because of her hard heart) we Brits were kept from good logic by a biased media and a biased education system. Even thirty years ago I had English tutors spending half of their time telling their students that the Church had always been corrupt to the core, that it was racist, and that it demeaned women. God hates sex, one of them told my class.
What did Marxist propaganda have to do with English literature or the construction of language? Very little except as a detail of alleged history, yet it was used to shape the way we think about the world, and unfortunately, such shaping has been going on in the West for decades, largely unchecked. Before Trump was elected even the first time, my children, in middle and high school, were being told that Trump was a racist and a hater of anyone not pristine white. This is a lie from hell, and unfounded.
As a statement of my own view on colour, I can say that I have never looked down at anyone of a different colour because of their colour. I love the idea of enriching our culture with those of other cultures. I know that my God loves people all over the world and my Lord died for them all. People of whatever colour you could name are all of equal value to my God. In my own neck of the woods I find Hispanics easier to get along with than most white people.
HOW CONSERVATIVES REALLY THINK
The problem for Marxists in our time is that we who are more “right” leaning in our views want to stop our culture being not only swamped by other cultures, but being usurped and overthrown. It’s working people who are expected to cough up the money to pay for literally millions of immigrants. But worse than the economic cost is that the religion now swamping Europe from the middle east and from north Africa has no intention of or encouragement to assimilate. Instead their god and those who follow him more closely are intent on taking the world for him, and so coercing all of us into honoring him over all. Again, on one occasion decades ago I saw large numbers of them parading the streets of an English city and chanting aggressively that God has no son.
Why bring such friction into our already troubled nations? Our freedoms are under threat. What’s so bad about wanting to preserve our culture which has been largely shaped by the Christian faith? There will be no freedom of speech if the enemies of our culture have their way, and any criticism or questioning will soon be labelled “hate-speech” and punished, as it already is being in my country of origin, the United Kingdom.
Those of us who oppose illegal – read that word again – illegal immigration, do so because we want to protect our freedoms and yes, our economic prosperity. Why should we have to work hard to pay for millions of people who wish to undo our culture, or who even refuse to learn our language? Yes, let’s open the doors of immigration to those who come here to be one of us and to adopt our ways, and let’s welcome them in. But if they come from a part of the world where their ideology ensures poverty and a lack of freedom, and it’s an ideology which they yet cling to, why bring them here by the million and then adopt their way of thinking? Isn’t this self-destruction of a civilization: a civilization that millions have died to build and defend? There’s that word again: “destruction”, ultimately coming from the very same source as all destruction.
