Is it true that if God didn't take believers to heaven before the Tribulation they would suffer His wrath along with everyone else? This, the standard view in evangelical circles, was my reasoning in relation to rapture timing for twenty-eight years, but not any longer (click the title to read on).
There’s some disagreement as to the actual timing of the marriage supper mentioned in Revelation chapter 19. Is it shortly after a pre-Tribulation rapture when the tribulation is about to commence; just before the middle of the tribulation when things will really begin to heat up on the earth; towards the end, just before the physical return of Christ, or even after the return of Christ to the earth?Â
Pre-Tribulation believers make intentional mistakes by avoiding certain verses of Scripture, or parts of those verses, almost as though those words were not there at all, and as though the verses didn't say what they clearly do say.
Normally I greatly respect John MacArthur's teachings and his love for the Word of God. He's one of those few men I can look up to in our time. However, I disagree with him on the subjects of election, and as I discuss below, the rapture of the Church.
Views of the "rapture of the Church" vary enormously, from people not believing that it's a Biblical event at all and who say it will never happen, to the insistance that all true believers will be whisked from the earth any day now, in order to save us all from suffering and from what's to come upon the earth during the "Tribulation".
