England-the old England of manners, civility and gentleness-is not lost, despite the battered appearance of its remnants. The people who made her great and beautiful and lovely, including those in other lands and of other colours, will all appear-every one of them-in the greatest assembly of the ages.
The best of England will live on forever. Their souls are in the hands of the immortal, omnipotent God, and the One who designed and created the mighty oak, the singing thrush, and honest, smiling people can do it again in His good time. The things that made her great will be there in abundance: integrity, warmth, humility, good humour and propriety, and those who’ve hated her and worked to dismantle her will not be found. They will have no more voice or ability to poison anyone or anything.
