The shooting of former President Trump was no surprise to many of us. Having seen the numerous rabid, evil, deceitful and hateful attempts to dispose of him politically over the past eight years, and knowing the next U.S. election is only three months away and that the current “president” is mentally incapable, what happened at that rally was the obvious next step of power-mad people in the shadows.
WILD TIMES AHEAD?
Knowing then that Trump, were he to be elected this coming election, has four more years in which to oppose the entrenched establishment-the real governors of the United States and the West-it seems likely that we are all in for some wild times, as they fight back to keep their power and their immoral, globalist agenda intact. How can one man, given that he has many supporters (including myself) withstand the onslaught?
He can’t. We aren’t only talking here about a political party, a uniparty or a bunch of super-rich men:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12 NIV).
ONE WITH GOD IS A MAJORITY
One man against all the forces of evil-both human and spiritual. The fact that he’s survived this long can only mean one thing: the Lord of heaven and earth has carried him this far. Trump’s survival of the assassination attempt was clearly, to the open-minded, miraculous. He turned his head at just the moment when the shooter fired the shot which would have changed the world.
WHY DELIVER TRUMP?
Why has the Lord assisted him and so all of us? Trump isn’t the most holy man, and doesn’t have the greatest of faith. He is, in my opinion, a great man: a man with fortitude, principles, vision, talent, and a love for God, country, family and justice. He has the right kind of mind to run our country and the free world.
However, our rulers are not always of our own choosing-if ever. We get what God allows, and what we deserve, whether good or bad. We may also get what God, in His mercy, sees that we need:
“… he (God) removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding” (Daniel 2:21).
Why has God delivered Trump to this point? Does America deserve a principled leader? Isn’t the free world plunging, by its own twisted will, into corruption-morally, legally and politically? Hasn’t it turned its back on the Creator of all things, and decided to believe a ridiculous story about evolving from nothing via fish and lemurs and monkeys?
Yes and no. A large number of us are still willing to seek our God, and to put family over our own weaknesses, and to have an ordered, free and just society. Many people are praying for that outcome. We will soon see if the nation as a whole wants to carry on the Leftist movement of death, immorality and globalism, or to step back from the brink.
It seems to me that the Lord is giving our nation and with it the world one last chance to turn back, as individuals and as nations. However, there is, as we can see from Scripture, a time when the Lord gives up on people who are determined to go against His will and His ways. Perhaps we haven’t quite reached that point yet, but I would say we’re close to it.
WHAT’S NEXT?
The remaining question concerns what will happen to us all in coming months and years. Some of those at the top of our political world will clearly stop at nothing to control us and milk us of our hard-earned money for their pet projects and agenda, their lust for power, their wars and their own financial security. How long will Trump survive? The answer has to be, “As long as the Lord spares him”,
Will Trump , if he’s elected, achieve his vision for America? Perhaps, in God’s mercy, America will survive for a time the tide of corruption and power-mad and super-rich people attempting to shape us all. And if it does, how long will that last?
OUR ULTIMATE FUTURE
I’m going to get a little whacky here for some of you, but it has to be said. The Lord has a plan for our world, and it doesn’t involve perpetual human rule while people ignore God and invent more ways to do evil. There’s coming a time when He will bring a close to human government. When will that be? My own personal conviction, though I am not setting any dates, is that we can’t be more than decades away, or even a few years. I’m not saying this because things are “bad” and the wicked seem to be more wicked every day. Instead, it’s about specific warnings, markers and signs given in Scripture.
Current events in the Middle east, and the recent history of the nation of Israel, are highly significant, and the fact that humanity is working hard at doing the very things God calls “abomination”, has to also be significant. Deception is rampant, rife and ridiculous.
A TRUTH IN THE MADNESS
Think what you like about the failures of self-appointed prophets and “watchmen on the wall”, telling us when the world will end and how it will end. Despite their nonsense, the Lord has already told us, in his Word, how things will go before the King of Kings appears in the sky over us. Those of us paying attention will have a better idea of it all.
FAITH
In any case, God’s will for us is to trust Him. Whatever happens over coming weeks, months and years-whether it be stasis or profound, earth-shaking change-we are to rest in the fact that He will, in His good time, bring all things into conformity to His great and beautiful plan. Those of us who have trusted Him, and who have accepted His only Son, Jesus Christ, will “never die”. By this He means that whatever man or nature does to our temporary mortal bodies, our souls are eternally secure in Him.
Therefore, as good a man as I believe Trump is, our faith has to be in the Master of our Souls, and in the Lord of all the earth.
