I don't mean to shake anyone's faith or confidence in experts. Many ministers are doing a fantastic job in a difficult world, and let's face it, we all get things wrong. We're all fallible and limited. That fact doesn't disprove the gospel or the central teachings of the Bible which are easily defined if we're reading it honestly. Christ died for our sins, he rose again on the third day and he's coming back to put the world right.
How many people across the Western world have convinced themselves that the God of the Bible can't be the real God, because they're sure that the real God would do things differently?
A Facebook friend of mine who's a pastor recently shared a quote from someone he looks up to. It went something like this: "If I have all my doctrine right but have not love, I am nothing".
I can tell you one thing: without God at the center of our culture, government will inevitably become God. It will be the ultimate authority. It will dictate what is right and what is wrong; what you can and cannot do; where you can and cannot go; how long you should live; what your value is; what you can have and what you must part with, and so on. And anyone living with the thought that we can hold government accountable and shape it to our own will is living in a dream world-a false utopia which history proves over and over again cannot ever be.
Whatever you think of Tucker Carlson (I agree with him on most things) I believe he should enter a future hall of fame with at least one of his phrases-one which touched me. He said , "Telling the truth makes you stronger".
