For those of you in a hurry, here's the gist of my essay today: It is faith in God that we need, not faith in healers. God is able to do all things, but He does not, and He is under no obligation to do what we ask or demand. Humanity and nature is under a Curse. God can and will heal, if it's within His will.
The number one reason people will give for not seeking or believing in God, so I'm told and so I gather, is the amount of suffering in the world. If there really were a loving God, we think, there would be no wars. There would be no crime, no disease, and no hunger or poverty...
If all our dreams and hopes in life come to nothing, would we turn our back on our God, or would we realize that though we have nothing,, we still have the Prize:?
Are you free? Do you have free will, or is everything decided for you?
Aren't all things under God's control? Isn't the concept of luck ungodly and demonic?
