I’m sorry to be somewhat crass, but I’m speaking of a one-finger salute. Humanity has decided to do the exact opposite of our Creator’s will. It’s like we’re saying, “We’re going to do what’s right in our own eyes, because it’s our world now”.

Nothing could be further from the truth- we’re just experiencing the last extension of the mercy and the patience of God…

HOW MAN IS OPPOSING GOD

Here are a few examples of what I mean:

By pressuring Israel to give up its capital, to divide its land, and to risk being overwhelmed by its enemies who have vowed to destroy it, the nations of the world are denying and opposing the covenants God made with Abraham concerning the land, which included present-day Jerusalem (Genesis 15:4-18);

By making divorce an easy option like choosing which cereal to have for breakfast, mankind is denying what God instituted and what Jesus Christ affirmed:

“Haven’t you read that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh?’ So they are no longer two but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate” (Matthew 19:4-6);

By uniting the world (or trying to) and promoting globalization and a giant melting pot, mankind is denying God’s determination to separate the nations (Genesis 11:1-9);

By seeking to put “earth first” over the needs and dreams of man humanity is opposing the “dominion mandate”, which was not for man to wreck the earth, but to fill it, to be dominant over it and to benefit from it (Genesis 1:28);

By denying the Creator’s very existence humanity is turning its back on its source of life and sustenance;

By promoting the “marriage” of two (and later more) people who cannot in reality marry or procreate, mankind is intentionally promoting what is an abomination to our Creator (Romans 1:18-27);

By shedding innocent blood of tens of millions of those who haven’t yet even had a chance to live their lives, mankind is arousing the wrath of God (Proverbs 6:16-17).

In the words of Peter, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ:

“Save yourselves from this corrupt generation” (Acts 2:40).
