Considering answers to those faith-questions we all ask…
Multitudes of people who pride themselves in having open minds are not interested in considering the God of the Bible for a single minute. Just about anything else is allowed in there, and even sought after, in the hope that what's being introduced to that already confused mass of ideas and philosophies will enrich the entire mix.
Make no mistake: we're in a war. The guns are in Ukraine but the darkness and the evil is in our presence here in the West, and sometimes in our own homes. Where is God? Why doesn't He stop it all?
In my science classes at school-admittedly quite a long time ago now, I was taught “uniformitarian” doctrine: the present is the key to the past. Change occurs over eons of time at the rate of processes we observe now, was the instruction I received. This was, at the time, considered to be obvious, proven fact. Well, that proven fact has changed drastically. As we all know facts change regularly (that's a joke).
How should we feel about the political state of our nation and our world? Anyone who has their eyes open can't fail to feel trepidation, disgust and frustration when looking at what our so-called "leaders", and our potential leaders, say and get up to. But perhaps there's another way of looking at things...
When I find myself in public spaces where people are present in large numbers, I'm struck by how empty and meaningless the lives of so many appear to be.
