Tag Archive: Globalism

Governments, kings, leaders and despots, and those opposing them in times past have always rallied people around them by pointing to a common enemy, whether real, perceived or contrived. Globalism seeks to do away with the ancient view of nations being our enemies by doing away with nations, and by calling people who don’t agree with their agenda “racists” and “bigots”. Media corporations and “entertainers” are in the position to push the appropriate propaganda into the faces of the populace, and shape public opinion, in a manner which would have made the Soviets green with envy. Lies, smears, false stories and omission of real stories are all tools of an entrenched, un-elected power, along with some who they help to get elected, claiming free speech while all the time trying to eradicate it.

The enemies of the future will be (and are now) those who will not go along with those globalist designs for our world. Ultimately, as related in Revelation, Christians will be the “enemy” to be focused on and hated. But for now, the “enemy” is Donald Trump.

Every day when I hear what’s going on in the world I have a strong urge to publicly connect the many dots, which easily make a familiar prophetic picture. Then, as the obligations and business of the day take over, my conviction mellows and I’m telling myself that it was all just furtive imagination born of multiple coincidences and exaggerations, mixed with a desire to see our world as it ultimately should be. Common-sense takes over.

However, on this occasion, the urge seems to have got the better of me…

457px-B_Escorial_108v

Here then is my very own conspiracy theory, supported by decades of observation of the world’s affairs and direction, in comparison with relevant Bible prophecies. Call me crazy if you like. I’m well past the point of caring or of wanting to follow the herd anyway: the point at which all committed believers will have to pass one day, like it or not.

Most prophecy “experts” within the evangelical Christian world have for decades clung doggedly to the conviction that the kingdom of the Beast will be a “Revived Roman Empire”, with the European Union as its likely immediate progenitor. One or two even claim that we already have a “revived Holy Roman Empire”. However, there really isn’t much unity, or Roman church influence, or desire for world domination apparent yet in the EU. Perhaps a far more radical union will emerge or form in the future. But my own suspicion goes further than that: the kingdom of the Beast will consist of an Islamicised West, headed by the United States.

In the very Western nations where millions fought for freedom of thought and speech, our political masters-by that I mean those in ultimate power and not just those we elect- aided by the bulk of the media and social media, and most of higher education which is anti-West and  anti-Christ, are pulling down everything the West has stood for. and working to hand over the West to a “global community”. The only enemy to this empire fit for a certain prophesied tyrant-besides Donald Trump- is Christianity. That other large and rapidly growing religion is somehow seen as a friend to the globalists. Well, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.

Regarding said religion, which is as much a political movement as a religion, it seems to me that where criticism and analysis is now outlawed-even in my nation of origin, England, submission has already occurred in much of the West, and the world is changing much more rapidly than most Christians are aware of. Worse than that, many Christians have their heads in the cozy warm sand and are content to believe what their TV tells them. They see Trump as their enemy rather than a last bastion of a free and Christian-friendly West that he is.

Trump is one of the very few exceptions to those going along with the tide of history towards the fulfillment of Revelation chapter 13. He’s a finger in the dike. He’s a willing tool of the restrainer (2 Thessalonians 2:7). His election frustrated the plans and dreams of globalists who very nearly had a stranglehold on us all, and now work to get a stronger grip. Unfortunately, to my mind anyway, Trump isn’t going to be around permanently, and those working to bring him down, and who were doing so even before he got elected, are going to be in high gear as soon as they regain complete control.

Oh, but most people are quite happy with the way the world is heading. Yes, they have grumbles and gripes, but there isn’t anyone running around in a red suit and a pitchfork (except perhaps Trump) and the sun still shines, and the TV still works: how could we possibly be teetering on the edge of Revelation? Nonsense!

Who’s going to be taking over when they manage to get rid of Trump? There doesn’t appear to be anyone in sight just now who could fit the bill. Perhaps a certain someone, loved by globalists and the godless alike, who has already been president, will come back.

A two-term limit? Really? The law and the Constitution stopped mattering about ten years ago, and perhaps before that: why should pesky old term limits matter? The new way of doing things, Trump excepted, is to trample on the law and the Constitution with a new agenda, and then either get the media to keep it quiet or herald it as progress. The people running our security agencies, more than half of our politicians, the bulk of the media, perhaps half of the population-don’t care about law or Constitution anymore. They care about what they want, any way they can get it. We could certainly be said to be in, or close to, the age of lawlessness. And how long will it be before its leader, the man of lawlessness, is revealed?

“…as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth…” (Luke 21:35).

Prophecy “experts” constantly miss the fact that Daniels prophecy of the so-called “Revived Roman Empire” (chapters 2 and 7) doesn’t seem to suggest that the empire will need any reviving. If you read carefully you’ll find that it appears to continue in great strength until its final form and then the judgment. And has not Europe, since Rome, continued on in great strength, dominating the world and to a large extent, shaping it to its own image?

One of the central aims of the Beast, and the nations of the world, according to Scripture in several prophesies, will be the capture and division of Jerusalem. Don’t look now, but this is the dream and the stated goal of most of the Islamic world, and virtually all members of the the United Nations. Under President Obama the United States government was also turning against Israel and towards its greatest enemies, but under Trump we currently have a pause in the process of betrayal.

WHERE IS THE U.S. IN BIBLE PROPHECY?

For a long time people have been asking the question,  “Is the United States, the greatest power on the earth, mentioned in Bible prophecy?” Of course, the name “United States” wasn’t used in Bible prophesies made many centuries ago. But is the US mentioned indirectly? Many think that the US will be the “eagles wings” which come to the rescue of Israel in Revelation. That’s wishful thinking at best. The word “eagles” and the term “eagles wings” were sometimes used as metaphors for God’s own aid, or for armies of judgment in the Old Testament, long before transport planes and air-lifts were imagined (Exodus 19:4; Jeremiah 48:40-41).

It seems to me that the most logical answer to this question is that the US actually is very much a part of Bible prophecy, and that it will be a central part of the final world empire- perhaps even the driving force of it. The kingdom of the Beast will be an overpowering military force, according to Scripture:

“Who is like the Beast? Who can make war against him?” (Revelation 13:4).

At the present time and at no time in the foreseeable future could this be said for the European Union. But it could be said for the West led by the US, which together have been the policing force of most of the world for some time. The undisputed military super-power has for decades now been the US, backed reluctantly by its allies in Europe. This applies not only to military power but also to economic power. The West, dominated by the US, leads the world in both respects. Together they dictate to the rest of the world.

IRON MIXED WITH CLAY

In Daniel’s vision (chapter 2) the feet of  iron and clay represent peoples groups which are together as an empire, but are essentially so different that they cannot become truly one, any more than iron and clay can blend. Europe and the US are composing themselves as much as possible of a mixture of peoples groups, with some successes and some problems. I see the iron and clay mix as the mingling of races and the attempted union of nations which are really too different to merge.

OUT OF ROME

Moreover-and I can’t understand why the “experts” have not yet recognized this (they probably don’t want to) the US was born out of Europe. If Europe is the “Revived Roman Empire”, born out of Rome, and since both are allied, and linked historically, genetically, ideologically, politically, culturally and socially, isn’t it obvious that the US is as much “out of Rome” as Europe is?

We may be a lot closer to the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecies than most of us realize. While we wait for the last days empire to form “over there”, we may already be in it.

Two kinds of people are interested in the type of culture we live in today-those who are concerned about it, and hope and pray to reverse the negative trends, and those who are promoting the negative trends…

11026517-spaghetti-pasta

Of course, the promoters, the drivers of our social and political world, don’t see their view as being negative. They’re heading, they think, towards a utopia in which all shackles of morality and propriety are totally removed; in which the old order of things is done away; in which the Judaeo-Christian world-view is abolished and forgotten.

I was listening to an interview with a member of Ravi Zacharias’ team, who was talking about our “post-truth” culture. We’ve moved, he said, from “post-modernism” into “post-truth”. Post-truth culture is one in which, as in post-modernism, truth is perceived to be subjective only (my truth is my truth, your truth is yours), but also one in which the facts don’t matter any more. What matters now is feelings and preferences.

This definition and observation didn’t tell me anything new. I’ve realized for many years that a large number of people-perhaps a majority- aren’t interested in genuine debate or inquiry in order to arrive at facts or truths. Instead, they’ve made up their minds already, based upon what they want to be true, even if it’s blatantly obvious that it isn’t. They only seek to bolster their views with any line of reasoning, faulty or not, which serves to intimidate and bash the “ignorant” and “bigoted” rabble.

In defense of my own ignorance and bigotry, I can say that I once held to many politically-correct tenets which I now see as being faulty or destructive. No-one can accuse me correctly of being uninformed and closed-minded, because I’ve seen both sides of the moral, political, philosophical and social divide.

fist-png-23

I use the word “divide” in its singular sense intentionally here, because if you haven’t noticed, our culture, ostensibly rich and self-proclaimed to be “diverse”, is actually shaping up to be two-sided and polarized. On the one side we have those holding to the traditional view of society and culture which is largely Christian in its morality; one-man one-woman marriages; a uniform view of right and wrong; an un-wavering patriotism; age-old work ethics, and a conservative understanding of immigration and societal growth in which those coming in do so legally, and with the intention of blending into what is already here.

On the other side of the cultural divide we have those pushing, particularly since the start of President Obama’s reign, with all their might to demolish all the above standards, and to replace them with anything else which suits their no-holds barred morality. The Judaeo-Christian view of things is the one obstacle in their road to Utopia.

The election of Donald Trump represented the worst thing which could have happened to the progressive agenda. Trump is no choir boy by any standards, but he did and does hold to the principles of a predominantly Christian culture, as outlined above, and he does take serious note that there are many millions who still see society in its traditional sense. Consequently, the effort to remove him has been driven by angry desperation, and a desperation which claims to be tolerant but which in fact refuses to listen, and which unashamedly negates any reference to objective, verifiable facts. Even the laws and constitution of the land are seen to be enemies in our post-truth age. And so my post returns to its starting point.

The throwing-off of Truth is nothing new. It’s been done over and over again, since the very beginning of man. Someone gets tired of living by the rules-particularly God’s rules-and here comes the abandonment of rational thought, and the embracing of anything which opposes it. It’s a prideful attitude which is destined for failure. The underlying belief is that either there is no God, no Person with any expectations of us, or that even if there is, he/she/it is irrelevant and not worth considering anyway. It’s rather like your left hand intently disliking the rest of your body and so deciding its going to go off and live independently of the rest of you.

We can no more live in a universe without God than we can live in a world without air. And unfortunately for those rebelling against the way of things, against the nature of the real universe governed by its creator, there is nowhere else to go. The One who ultimately controls all things, who gives and sustains life, does indeed have certain expectations. He also has no intention of giving away His universe.

No, dear reader, I haven’t mis-spelled a word in my title, I’m just rather partial to puns…

393px-Gojira_1954_poster_3Do you ever wish you could read a book or watch a movie in which nothing goes wrong, where nobody gets hurt and there are no problems to solve? I’ve discussed with my sons the fact that works of fiction probably would never meet with much, if any success, without trouble at their center.

Without some sort of tension to resolve-injustice, war, loss, unfulfilled desires, threats or enemies-any movie, novel or drama would probably be rather hum-drum and not very interesting to the majority of people. Can you think of any work of fiction without at least one problem to put right? Even Christian stories center on family break-up, loss, persecution or aggressive debate.

It seems that while we all hate to suffer ourselves, we want to see others suffering, at a distance…but then perhaps to see the problem resolved at the end of the story. The hero must win the battle, or wreak revenge, or get his desired lover. If there isn’t a problem, we like to create one…don_quijote_and_sancho_panzaWe like to tell ourselves that we enjoy seeing suffering because it “reflects reality” and touches upon our own struggles. Even sci-fi and fantasy stories are really just dressed up hypothesized versions of real-life problems, although in these times some Hollywood-style stories attempt or hope to shape reality rather than mirror it.

History is a long succession of stories filled with tensions and resolutions, and in many cases there is no happy ending. So it is even in the Biblical narrative. Problems begin almost on the first page, when Adam and Eve fail a simple test. But wait a minute: why is there a test to pass or fail in the first place? Wasn’t it God himself who put that nasty tree in the garden? And wasn’t it God who seems to have turned his back while the Tempter came to persuade Eve to disobey? Behind it all, God had a grand plan-a scheme, the subject of the Bible: a narrative which is still in process of being acted out and fulfilled. I’ve written about this in my series “Why Do We Suffer?”Ary_Scheffer_-_The_Temptation_of_Christ_(1854)I was looking at a few facebook pages of people I used to know, and I was amazed to see even there that a common source of mirth and hilarity these days is ridicule of Donald Trump. Of course this isn’t news to any of us-it’s going on in many places. And the things they say about him are hateful, spiteful and most often completely false. They come from a media and an entertainment industry which has declared war on the world’s leader and his supporters.

So what do they want in Trump’s place? Who would they replace him with? I’m convinced they want more of the same. They want what President Obama was working hard to give them: a throwing off of the influence Christianity has had over the past two millennia, and a reversal of the confusion and separation of Babel. At Babel God acted to prevent the world of men from being unified. He did that because he knew that any such unity would be in opposition against him and against all that he created mankind for. And sure enough, the modern socialistic, one-world movement seeks to redefine marriage, spirituality, gender, love, and just about everything you can think of which relates to the original plan of God for mankind. Trump, imperfect though he is-as we all are-and his supporters, seeks to set back the clock on the perversion of God’s plan. The dissenters, the “jokers” and the haters all seek to continue the movement away from God, which was so enthusiastically facilitated and encouraged by our last president, his appointed judges and his devoted followers.800px-Pieter_Bruegel_the_Elder_-_The_Tower_of_Babel_(Vienna)_-_Google_Art_Project_-_editedThe history of man has been likened to a tale of two cities: one the celestial city of God, and the other Babel, the city of man. It’s all actually one story only: history is His-story. I’ve written before about the “Beautiful City”, a place in which man will one day, he hopes, realize his Utopian dreams; where he can do whatever he wants without consequence or criticism, and from which God is banished forever. However, proponents of modern humanism and secularism do seem to like the idea of inviting into the free world one version of god and his followers, in the hope that this god will aid in the removal of the one they see as the great ogre-the Biblical God.

Why do the nations rage, and the people plot in vain? (Psalm 2:1 ESV).

Behind it all the devil works to take down free society so that the gospel of Jesus Christ can be strangled once and for all. Many people see this as a top priority in life. They just refuse to see the fact that the gospel cannot be controlled or suffocated, any more now than it ever has been; any more than it was at the beginning when Jesus Christ was crucified and his disciples scattered and persecuted throughout the world. Persecution, as horrible as it is, only serves to further the cause of the gospel.What-is-truth02All these people will accomplish is the loss of freedom. But freedom will not only be lost for those that they hate: it will be gone from them also, because the system they work to impose in God’s place is intentionally excluding the only source of freedom.

All the machinations of those who seek to destroy what the West has stood for, with all its failures and weaknesses, may succeed temporarily, and on a superficial level- the only level they’re willing or able to see and detect. But in fact they’re expending all their energies only upon that which God has already planned and foreseen. Man without God is like a convict digging an escape tunnel, only to find that the entire prison guard are waiting for him at the other end.

God’s grand story is still unfolding-we’re in the middle of it now. The last page of the story of rebellious man is not far away, and man himself is helping to write some of the detail. Our Creator will bring to completion the Resolution of all resolutions, when those who’ve sided with God’s only son Jesus Christ will experience the happiest ending of all. And the happiest ending of all will begin a never-ending succession of wonderful, amazing stories without tension, trouble, or problems.

There can be no other outcome for the world than God’s victory over man’s rebellion, because God is the creator and sustainer of all things. Not only this, but he, and his Son, are the beginning and the end of the grand story:

Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end (Revelation 22:12 The words of Jesus Christ-see verse 16)

As I washed more eggs off the back of my vehicle, one of which almost scored a direct hit on the “Make America Great Again” sticker, I mused the motive of the deliverer of those ovulatory projectiles. Was it tolerance? Was it peace? Was it brotherly love and inclusion? Hmm…

th

Just for the record, the vehicle is twenty-one years old and would cost more to sell than I could get for it. Perhaps I should just scramble it.

There’s some serious hatred of Trump in the US and distrust in some parts of the world. What has he actually done to deserve that? My contention is that he hasn’t done anything: the hatred is the result of a giant smear campaign, funded by wealthy socialists and globalists…

Theresa May lost her desired majority in the UK election. She also lost her opportunity to be a real man (er… woman) and to speak for millions of people who don’t want “fundamental change”: perhaps that’s why she didn’t get that majority. She’s one of the many millions who’ve been silenced by political correctness, who are afraid to say “boo” to a goose (or a chicken) lest-horror of horrors-they be labeled “hatemongers”, “bigots” and “racists”, and their vehicles be pelted with eggs by tolerant, loving, sophisticated world-citizens.

I know something about the Brits, having been one for almost all my life. Traditionally they’re tolerant and polite even when inside they don’t really like someone. And it’s that tolerance and politeness which stands to land them in a whole heap of trouble, rather like Chamberlain’s tolerance and politeness did in the forties. Brits are just so nice that they can’t even imagine that anyone would want to wage something like civilizational jihad against them. If they did know, and as long as those waging civilizational jihad against them did it politely, they really wouldn’t mind. In fact they would help…which is exactly what they are doing. It’s a case of the proverbial frog in the pot slowly coming to a boil without realizing it. Perhaps he’ll make frog tea…

As I’ve said, I agree that the vast majority of Muslims are peace-loving and honorable people who just want to get on with their lives like the rest of us. And that’s why Brits are content to accept them into their midst-by the millions. The problem is that a small minority of them take their ideology very seriously, as their founder did and as the Turks who almost succeeded in invading Western Europe did.  And I know from decades of interest in world affairs that in every single Islamic country of the world now there are extremists pushing the nominal on to greater commitment. They push by means of violence if necessary. Even in the more extremely dedicated Islamic nations the majority are forced continually to become more dedicated. The problem is not just a case of ISIS having a temper-tantrum outside their own confines.

Trump has dared to stick his neck out on this issue. But he’s absolutely not “anti-Muslim” as his enemies have attempted to convince us: his recent visit to Saudi Arabia and the Arab League was a roaring success, despite how the anti-Trump media tried to portray it.

However, like it or not, with the millions of law-abiding immigrants come more extremists and their ideology. And what do our other  world “leaders” in the West care? I’ll tell you what: they want us to “get used to it”. And why are those who hold the reigns of power, who have the potential to steer us into a reasonably safe future, choose instead to make platitudinous statements about us all pulling together and not changing our ways, while doing nothing but coming to clean up the mess when there’s a terrorist attack?

360px-8_-_AmStar_7

It’s because many of them now want us all to be “citizens of the world” rather than having our own national identity. Nationalism breeds war, they think, and preserves that awful Christian morality nonsense. They agree with Lennon’s line that if we could just do away with borders, all the people of the world will be kissing each other and blissfully saying goodbye to religion (except Islam, the religion of choice for socialists) forever.

Israel is one of the obstacles to a world-wide utopia, because Israelis persist in being Jewish and in living in their ancient capital. Trump supports the Jewish state, making him a giant obstacle to globalist ideals.

The push for globalism among the elites is gathering momentum and power. President Obama virtually wiped out US borders because of his views on this, and the Democrats were and still are fully behind him. So were their media people-those now doing everything in their power to remove Trump from office, no matter what it takes, and no matter how much they have to lie to do it. I say “elites” intentionally, because a large number of people, especially in the UK, have fallen for the belief that all the rich powerful people are nationalists and “extreme-right-wingers”. All Trump supporters are racist, rich and ignorant, they’ve been told, while all those kind, tolerant, inclusive socialists and liberals are just poor lowly types trying to scrape together a few pennies to help their fellow man get by.

Lower_Manhattan_from_Jersey_City_November_2014_panorama_3

No, it’s the big boys at the top who have all the money and all the power who are driving us on to a one-world, Babylon-esque society, mashing together differing cultures, inventing  man-made climate-change and the ludicrous notion that we can change the climate back by giving them more money, and calling anyone who dares to oppose them “hateful bigots”.

THE OTHER SOURCE OF OPPOSITION TO TRUMP

I say “other source”, but really the two are inextricably linked. Western globalists think that once they get everyone in the same boat we’ll all have the same views on morality: liberal views. I think they’ll find out that the Muslims have different plans.

There’s also an undeniable spiritual thread to the whole situation: more on that another time.

It was known early on in Trump’s campaign that he leaned towards Christian belief, and that he largely held to Christian morality in his proposed policies, as did a large number of his followers. He made it clear that he would oppose unnecessary abortion and Obama’s requirements that the rest of us pay for them (he has and is-see note 3) and that he would reverse President Obama’s rulings on transgender bathrooms: he has. Obama issued a decree stating that all public schools must allow kids to use whichever bathroom they wanted to use on any given day, according to which gender they felt like being (note 1). Where’s the respect for women, who overwhelmingly want privacy, in that? Trump reversed the ruling (thank you President Trump). President Obama did all he could to push for gay rights and gay marriage. He ordered the military to take part in gay pride celebrations (note 2).

Trump is an altogether different animal, as is his vice-president. It’s this stand on morality and his respect for established laws and the constitution which brought the full force of the news media, Hollywood, the Democratic Party and all their ultra-rich donors against him and his followers. We Trump supporters are “ignorant” because we don’t see the world their way, and because we didn’t go along with Obama’s and Hillary’s “fundamental change”, but they’re oh so sophisticated and intelligent! Sophisticated people want the rest of us to pay for babies to be aborted.

No, Trump didn’t introduce polarity to America, it was already here. It was here because far more people opposed Obama and Hillary’s “fundamental change” than the elites and their followers had hoped. Trump’s enemies were sure that their propaganda in universities and on TV had done its work.

It’s my opinion that if Obama had just held back on his pronouncements on transgender bathrooms, and if he had not tried so hard to eradicate the “radical Islamic terrorist” label, just enough people would have voted for Hillary to continue that fundamental change: I’m glad he didn’t.

Scrambled eggs, anyone?
