TRUTH OR INSANITY
Pyramids are ancient space-ships, or, aliens built the pyramids. Really? That’s what some people believe. Men can become women? Babies can be thrown away if you don’t want them? Millionaire celebrities and football players, and royal family members are discriminated against? Two and two doesn’t always make four? Defund the police? Four ton dinosaurs learned how to fly? Cows turned into whales? Dirty water plus millions of years made human beings?
Paul described the inevitable outcome for those who turn their backs on God and are determined to go their own way and make their own reality:
“…their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22).
NO EXCUSE NOW
Considering the fact that the Democrats and their media are now in total control of the United States, why is there still an increasing number of people living on the streets? I thought the Dems were the caring ones? Shouldn’t they have sorted out the problem by now, as Trump was expected to do without congressional or media support? And if we in the West are such terrible racists, why is it that people are desperate to get into western nations from every corner of the earth? Doesn’t it seem like media types and celebrities are actually trying to stir up racial tensions?
THE NAME
When people use four-letter words around me, usually in relation to something or someone they’re not completely impressed with, I have to wonder and sometimes ask which expressions they fall back on when things really go bad. It has to be intensely frustrating sometimes to reach out and grasp for that super-bad curse-word, kept in store for when the need arises, and realize that there isn’t one. The heart of rebellious man is never satisfied, and never can be.
Why is it that two of the most common profanities used are the misuse and abuse of the name “Jesus Christ”, and the title of the Father, “God”? In our time, Christ is ignored and considered to be mythical only, and yet among the people who ignore Him, HIs name pops up regularly-alternated artistically (irony) with the foulest words you can imagine. It’s good that other revered names and titles are not similarly used, such as Buddha,; Krishna; Confucius, Loa Tsar and Odin (oh, and Teapot)-but why aren’t they? Why is it that the Name of all names, Jesus Christ-the man who died for the sins of the world, is freely used to curse, seemingly with some sort of venom?
Perhaps one reason, apart from the fact that thousands of years ago God clearly warned us not to use His mane in vain, is that “the god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4); “the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2) and our enemy, who knows that his time is short, and who knows that he is no match for the one he curses, has so much ready influence over our culture. Jesus Christ, the name above all names, will be his judge, jury and executioner.
