As I shared in part two of this series, the book of Daniel foretells a succession of world empires. That is, empires as God sees them, and empires which directly affect the nation of Israel - central to Bible prophecy. The last empire before the coming of the Messiah will be (and now is) an amalgamation of nations and people groups which will never actually succeed in blending.

I wrote in the first part of this article that there would only be two parts, but that's no longer true. There will instead be several installments because I can't summarize to oblivion all the topics related to end times. Today's episode discusses Biblical predictions of political world empires, beginning with the time of the prophet Daniel and ending at the return of Jesus Christ. This interpretation is of necessity a little subjective and speculative. I don't claim to know all the answers or that "God told me": He didn't.
A View of End Times
I don't mean to shake anyone's faith or confidence in experts. Many ministers are doing a fantastic job in a difficult world, and let's face it, we all get things wrong. We're all fallible and limited. That fact doesn't disprove the gospel or the central teachings of the Bible which are easily defined if we're reading it honestly. Christ died for our sins, he rose again on the third day and he's coming back to put the world right.
