If you're a Christian believer, how would the apparent confirmation of life from another world affect your faith? Feelings are mixed in this regard, with some being convinced that as the universe is so vast, God has surely created other life-supporting worlds out there. Others see the existence of alien beings as a threat to their faith and to the truth of Scripture, which says nothing about God creating other worlds.
Isn't it interesting that you can at the same time want your foot to go one way and yet make it go another. You can want to do something and yet not want to do it.
When I find myself in public spaces where people are present in large numbers, I'm struck by how empty and meaningless the lives of so many appear to be.
What is "far-right" about "Lord of the Rings", except in the rabid, seething hatred of an alleged news reporter? I'll tell you: it's dualism. It's the conviction that there are such things as absolute good and absolute evil; that the two are in complete opposition, and that the good can and will ultimately prevail.
As I look around at our world, and especially at our government (in the US and other Western nations) I can't help sometimes wondering why we don't see God strike certain people down in front of us all. They are utterly corrupt and arrogant. They have no shame. They make decisions for the detriment of their own citizens. They bear false witness against others. They are being bought by powerful globalist forces and figures. They lie incessantly. They use their positions of power for themselves and people like them.
