Could Jesus Christ return without notice, at a time we aren't expecting Him to come and with no prior notice? I will demonstrate in a two-part article that Biblical "imminence" is taken out of context to prove a pre-Tribulation rapture. Most especially I will draw attention to the fact that Jesus spoke of the imminence of his coming to those who would still be on the earth during Tribulation events.
From time to time I write about my conviction that Jesus Christ will return soon, and without setting dates I personally see his return occurring within decades, not centuries or millennia. If I'm wrong, I'll apologise later. You can ignore or mock, or you can carefully consider the possibilities. Here's a sketchy summary of thoughts on the matter. Today I'm re-launching a series of posts on the subject of speaking in tongues. My motivation is to help correct some errors in the Church which are at best mistaken beliefs and at worst a demonic deception and a mockery of God. These articles are intended for those who are genuinely asking what the true nature of this spiritual gift is, and whether it's a vital part of the Christian's walk with the Lord.
A common view I once shared which claims that when Jesus said, “one will be taken, the other will be left” (Matthew 24:40-41), he was speaking of a surprise rapture at some time before the tribulation. The one taken would be the raptured believer: the one left behind would be the unbeliever or a failed believer.
If my title caught your attention it's either because you think you're a prophet, or more likely because you're brave enough to question the veracity of the modern day "prophet of God" who seems to be around almost every church corner. I've known enough of them to know what I'm talking about: some well-meaning and helpful; some wanna-be Peters and Pauls, convinced that they are the power of God on the earth.
