Some men admire a man who can hit a little ball hard with a stick. Some women admire a man who admires himself. Some people admire men who campaign to deny a baby the right to live. But I admire the kind of man who’s not afraid to believe and to openly declare that there is a God who can and does tell the truth. Ken Ham is such a man.
Ken has given his life to defend the truths of Scripture;
He expresses the simplest and most fundamental reason for faith-God’s amazing Creation (Romans 1:19-21);
He takes the Bible at face value and doesn’t try to alter it;
He’s not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ;
He’s not afraid to proclaim the whole counsel of God;
He doesn’t cave in to the wisdom of man;
He trusts in God, not in man;
He’s not afraid to be persecuted for the name of Christ and the word of God;
He withstands the onslaught of insults from unbelievers both inside and outside the Church;
He remains calm, composed and godly while having his sanity, his intelligence and his motives questioned, and his God mocked;
Ken defends the faith of our children;
He pleads for the lives of the unborn;
He supplies answers to the claims and lies of evolution and hopelessness;
He believes what he claims to believe;
He’s an extremely gifted speaker;
He has a keen sense of humor;
He speaks out about the evils in our society, instead of avoiding them for convenience.
Ken Ham is a mighty warrior for the Lord, and to such people Jesus said:
“Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven” (Luke 6:22-23 NIV).
